Chart notes
NEPTUNE BEACH vied for the lead along the rail, drifted out under left handed pressure nearing the furlong marker bumping with MAKAR, battled, drifted out again at the sixteenths crossing over past the latter, appeared to be clear and proved best. MAKAR vied three across, dueled on the last turn, was bumped by the winner at the furlong marker, battled, altered in avoiding the latter drifting out again at the sixteenths pole and finished well. RANGER BLUE well four wide to the last turn, took the rail and finished with interest inside. EIGHT SUNSET DRIVE vied between, tracked the leaders four wide into the lane and tired. IN THE BLUE unhurried, five wide on the turns and tired. UNITY DREAMS unhurried six wide early, five wide trailing on the last turn and tired. A claim of foul was lodged by the rider of MAKAR against the winner for interference through the stretch. Also a Stewards inquiry was posted concerning the winner drifting out under left handed pressure bumping with MAKAR at the furlong marker and then crossing over in front of the latter at the sixteenths pole, resulted in no change.
