Chart notes
JIMMY THE HAT stalked the pace from the fence to the quarter pole, angled three wide around the pacesetters turning for home, wore that pair down midway down the lane and was going away late. TIZ BIG MONEY set a pressured pace to the head of the stretch, was passed in mid-stretch and came on again to re-claim the place in a game effort. SHOWDOWN KING pressed the pace to midway on the turn, took a short lead leaving the quarter pole, dueled for the lead through the lane and weakened in the final hundred yards while being held off the runner-up. MAC'S CAT failed to menace. I'M THE CABANA BOY tracked the leaders from five wide and failed to mount a bid. ITZCOATL broke a step slow and was never a threat.
