BE PUNCTUAL took control in the two path, set a pressured pace up the backstretch, vied inside a pair of rivals on the far turn, dueled past the five-sixteenths pole, drifted out in upper stretch, cleared midstretch and held over the late run from UPSTAR YANKEE in the end. UPSTART YANKEE stalked three then two wide on the first turn, moved inside on the backstretch, launched a rail bid at the five-sixteenths but was unable to keep up with the top pair with a quarter mile remaining, chased from inside into the lane, came back on in deep stretch but could not get by the winner. MOTHER'S PRAYER stalked five deep into the first turn then moved in a bit, raced up close in hand three deep in the middle stages, fought for the lead three deep into the far turn, dueled from outside past the five-sixteenths pole, got floated out by the winner in upper stretch and stayed on to hold third. SAQEEL sat off the pace on the inside, gained between into the far turn, spun four wide into the lane, angled out and finished willingly but could not get by MOTHER'S PRAYER for the show honors. DEVILNTHEBLUEGRAS got crowded between rivals early, tucked inside at the back, picked up stride in the middle stages, was ridden along at the five-sixteenths pole, spun three wide into the lane and finished evenly late. OOBUBBAKAKAYO chased six deep into the clubhouse turn, moved in a few paths around the bend, traveled three deep leaving the backstretch, got floated six wide late on the far turn and churned on down the lane while unable to threaten. ROGUE SON raced four, three, then two wide at the back around the first turn, trailed up the backstretch, asked two wide on the second bend, steered out in the lane and also failed to threaten. SUGAR BEETS sat off the pace two then three wide early, moved out and chased four deep on the backstretch, was ridden along four, three, then four wide again on the second bend, moved out further in the lane and failed to menace. HOWDOYALIKEMENOW raced up close four then three wide, applied pressure on the backstretch, vied between rivals into the far turn, could not keep up with the leaders at the five-sixteenths pole, got carried wide past the quarter pole and tired. UNION WAVE pressed the leader from inside, dropped back on the backstretch, faded further when trailing off the rail on the far turn, eased in the lane and walked off.
