Chart notes
POCKET KNIFE was allowed to settle racing three-wide, angled in nearing the quarter pole, slipped through entering the stretch, came out to bump with SHADY HARBOR leaving the eighth pole and best that one in a stiff drive. SHADY HARBOR tracked the pace racing along the inside, angled out for room nearing the quarter pole, came three-wide into the stretch then came in to with POCKET KNIFE leaving the eighth pole and missed in a game try. LINCHPIN'S LOCKET was reserved off the pace racing two-wide and finished in a mild rally. WINANYWAYUCAN saved ground setting the pace, drifted out slightly nearing the three-sixteenths pole and weakened. RIVERSIDE ROSE prompted WINANYWAYUCAN early from along the outside and tired. PARKER'S FIFTEEN was unhurried early, moved up five-wide nearing the quarter pole but was unable to seriously threaten. DANGERELLA settled in the back of the field racing five-wide and trailed. THE STEWARRDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT INVOLVING POCKET KNIFE AND SHADY HARBOR BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH.
