Chart notes
MY HIGHMOON came away well but not pushed to join the early leaders, had to be coaxed a bit to keep contact with the field, raced mid-pack to the far turn, then started a bid from the seven-sixeenths marker, navigated through traffic late on the far turn, slipped out three wide turning into the stretch, finished up strong under handling and intermittent urging and got a favorable head bob at the finish. OUR MAJESTIC tracked mid-pack and three to four wide through the early stages, launched a three-wide bid approaching the three-furlong pole, pulled even with the leader passing the quarter pole, finished willingly under strong handling, but came up just short at the wire. NO SOY BORRACHO settled mid-pack on the rail for the first half-mile, moved up close to the leaders heading into the far turn, waited for room late on that turn, slipped through an opening at the top of the stretch, and finished up well but was outkicked by the top pair. SILENT RAGE steadied at the start when bumped by NO SOY BORRACHO, was taken back, raced well behind the field to the half, circled the field five-wide through the far turn, then flattened out in the stretch. EQUAL FORCE broke out into the path of EASY EDDIE A then was sent hard to get forward position, tracked behind U RASCAL U but did not quicken with the rest on the far turn, went five-wide, was kept to task and ran on some but was not a threat. EASY EDDIE A shuffled back at the start, then was unhurried to race far behind at the back of the pack, was the distant trailer to the far turn then ran on some at the end to pass some tired foes. U RASCAL U sprinted away to a clear lead to the far turn then gave way at the quarter pole. FLAT OUT FITZ was flat-footed at the start and was off about two lengths slow, moved up three wide on the first run to race close up down the backstretch, got to within a length going into the far turn, then began a steady fade through the field and came up empty in the stretch. SUPER TACO was hustled to get forward position, then was in tight heading into the first turn, was trying to lug out turning on to the backstretch, got left behind as the pace quickened on the far turn, and was not persevered with when hopelessly behind.
