PAY MY WAY settled off the early pace while saving ground at the rail through the stretch the first time, raced into a tracking trip while saving ground through the second turn, launched his bid two wide entering the final turn, overtook the pacesetter soon after straightening for home, and inched clear late. VECTOR away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the stretch the first time, set a pressured pace from the inside of SLOOP JOHN B through the second turn and in the run down the backside, disposed of that rival entering the final turn, was overtaken soon after turning for home, but battled gamely two wide in the drive to salvage the place. EGOMANIA unhurried early while trailing the field into the stretch the first time, continued to bide his time at the back of the pack in the run down the backside, rallied smartly from along the rail entering the final turn, lost his momentum leaving the turn while awaiting room at the rail, angled off the rail turning for home, and closed three wide in the drive to get up for a share. BAK TO LIBERTY broke sharply and stalked the leaders through the stretch the first time while racing one out from the rail, held a tracking trip behind the dueling leaders in the run down the backside, rallied four wide entering the final turn, but was unable to sustain his bid late while finishing three wide in the drive. SLOOP JOHN B away well and pressed the pacesetter two wide through the stretch the first time, continued to force the issue from the outside of VECTOR in the run down the backside, was unable to match strides with that rival entering the final turn, and weakened over the final furlong.
