DIAMONDS N THRILLS settled early, bid three wide to stretch, battled to the final sixteenth then proved best late. TRUMPETTA tracked the pace to second turn, vied between foes at the quarter marker, lost position to upper stretch, fought on into the final sixteenth, was outfinished for the win in deep stretch and held second. THELASTBULLETSMINE well placed in the early running, bid three wide at the quarter marker then kicked clear into the lane, led past mid-stretch, yielded to the top pair late and was clear for third. CURRENT SITUATION settled inside, angled three to four wide upper, needed more in the stretch drive. KHOSEA set the pace to the second turn, overtaken nearing the quarter marker, faded. HOLDER CLOSE broke bit awkwardly, unhurried to the backstretch, chased four to five wide at the quarter, no late response.
