Chart notes
I LUCKED OUT was well rated while setting the pace on a clear lead, responded when challenged on the far turn kicking away in upper stretch and held the runner-up safe late in the lane. NIGHT RIDE tracked the leaders to the far turn, commenced a steady advance midway on the final bend and continued to gain in the stretch slowly cutting into the winner's advantage. CASTAGNO stalked the winner down the backside, steadily narrowed the gap leaving the half mile pole to challenge nearing the quarter pole, was turned away at the top of the lane and ran-on through the stretch as best of the rest. SAMARITANO taken in hand leaving the gate to be reserved off the pace at the back of the field, started a grinding rally under an early drive leaving the three-eighths pole and continued to narrow the gap in the lane without impact. MR TITO'S went evenly failing to pose a threat. CLASSIC KING raced four wide in contention for a half and faded.
