CALL MY BANKER broke inward and bumped with VIOLENT RIVER, straightened and took a short lead outside a pair of inner foes, was nudged clear leaving the far turn and dropped in a path, denied an inside threat from OCEOLA in upper stretch, responded to firm asking soon after, pulled away and was kept alert to the wire. OCEOLA , with the early pace inside, stayed on to chase under a ride after the winner cleared, rebid along the rail to challenge soon into the lane, had that threat turned away but kept on with good effort to preserve the place. VIOLENT RIVER , bumped at the break, vied between runners early on, eased back a bit leaving the half, shifted out to chase three wide, made a bit of a run near mid stretch then flattened out late. MISTER MONTE CARLO drafted back off the leaders and settled four wide, remained four wide while under pressure from mid turn but failed to muster up a rally.
