Chart notes
EMPIRE BUILDER dueled outside EYE WITNESS around the first turn and into the backstretch, pulled his way clear with four and half furlongs remaining, opened up leaving the three eighths, was under strong handling past mid stretch, wandered outward a bit and proved much the best while kept alert. PROTONIC POWER was rated back soon after the break, settled off the contested pace, came four wide for the drive, kept grinding under some steady hand asking in deep stretch and got up for the place through the final yards. EYE WITNESS dueled inside the winner to the five eighths, shifted out after that one cleared, chased into the lane then gave way grudgingly through the final furlong. PATS PROPERTY settled off the early duel, saved ground into the lane but failed to get involved. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
