Chart notes
SPOTAWAY took lead outside VICTORIOUS NYQUIST leaving the backstretch, stayed well off the rail and drew away the final furlong while kept to her business. LADY IN PARIS lacked speed, raced two to three wide on the turn, swung to the four path in upper stretch and had a slight rally. BRIGHT LADY DAY saved ground on the turn, advanced along the inner rail in upper stretch and failed to sustain the bid. MELODIOUS lacked speed, hugged the inner rail on the turn and in upper stretch, eased out and passed tired foes. VICTORIOUS NYQUIST showed speed along the inner rail down the backstretch, moved to the two path leaving the turn and gave way in mid stretch. ALL AMERICAN ROSE bobbled soon after the break, drifted wide leaving the turn and gave way.
