WINGS OF A SPARROW got away well, tracked close up along the rail, then chased BOBBY'S GIRL into the stretch, responded to steady handling and intermittent urging, edged clear in the final yards in a driving finish. BOBBY'S GIRL was quickest from the gate, cleared off to a two-length advantage, widened the margin on the turn, dug in under a threat from WINGS OF A SPARROW in upper stretch, kept on gamely under steady handling and urging, but had to settle for second best. TARKINGTON SUNRISE came together with SHE'S A TARGET as the start but was otherwise away well, stalked the early pace, lost a position late on the turn, kept on to hold third well clear of the next finisher. WON BRIGHT LIGHT was off a step slow and in chase mode early on, started a run from the three-furlong pole while keeping to the inside through the turn, was unable to threaten but was slowly gaining ground in the late stages. SHE'S A TARGET mutually bumped with TARKINGTON SUNRISE coming out of the gate, raced four-wide in the tracking group, dropped out of that pack late on the turn, and finished evenly. A WISH FOR JEANNE held up at the rear of the field, circled the field four wide on the turn, but could not sustain the bid in the stretch. AVIE CAKES broke outward at the start, chased from mid-pack four-wide, made a mild middle move into the turn, then hit the stretch with not much left in the tank, lugged in, and was not a factor in the later stages. STYLE MAKER was one of the last away, raced initially near the back, then started to advance from the half-mile pole but faltered in the stretch. DRAMA QUEENIE raced close up to the middle of the turn, then weakened and was not persevered with in the stretch. DREAMED I AM FAST was briefly up close with the second flight but started to retreat before the turn, then had nothing to offer in the stretch. JUST RAIN under a ride from the start, but struggled to keep up the pace, showed little. KASENS TRIBE was floated out at the start by AVIE CAKES, then raced mid-pack but very wide, then faltered late on the turn.
