Chart notes
HEAT ALERT pressed the pace from the two path, challenged the lead at the top of the stretch, drifted out to impede foe before kicking clear. STEADY JOHN took the early lead on the inside, bumped in the stretch before giving way in the final sixteenth. MAKOA never far behind the pace in the four path, three wide bid at the top of the stretch, steadied at the furlong marker, finished gamely. P J'S SONG rated nicely on the inside, made no bid, finished evenly. GARDEN LEAVE raced off the pace, angled out five wide in the far turn but came up empty in the stretch. PRALINE'S CAT trailed for most, never involved. NONEEDTOWORRY raced off the pace, trailed at the three eighths, no factor. JOCKEYS OBJECTION BYMAKOA ON HEAT ALERT AND STEADY JOHN REGARDING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH RESULTED IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF HEAT ALERT FROM FIRST TO THRID.
