Chart notes
GET THROUGH had a slow start, chased in the two path, was driven around the far turn, bid while swinging from the five path into the lane, bumped with an inner foe at the top of the lane, stuck his head in front going by the furlong grounds, and dug in to hold on. MISTER SHARPIE set the pace in the three path, bumped with an outer foe in the four path at the top of the stretch, dug in while dueling with that foe to the wire, but was edged out. HOLCOMBE stalked in the five path, was coaxed along around the far turn, and finished evenly in the six path down the lane. HIGHLY PERFECT laid up close in the four path but flattened in the stretch. RUN THE TABLE tracked inside but faded in the final furlong. MR. CHIVAS raced off the pace in the two path and did not threaten. NO CHANGES WERE MADE AFTER THE STEWARDS HELD AN INQUIRY TO LOOK AT THE RUNNING BETWEEN THE TOP TWO FINISHERS IN UPPER STRETCH.
