Chart notes
BURTON WAY slow to stride leaving the chute, steady progress circled the field four deep leaving the quarter pole, widest into the lane, drew on even terms nearing the sixteenth marker, surged clear through the wire. CAJUN JOE broke a step slow, chased off the pace around the turn, cut the corner into the lane, inside rally through the final sixteenth. CARIBBEAN PLEASURE quickest out of the chute, vied inside around the turn, under attack from both sides through the final sixteenth, grudgingly conceded under the wire. CELTIC PRIDE pressed the pace three wide around the turn, angled four wide approaching the furlong marker, in range turning for home, flattened out late. UNCLE CHINITO broke sharp, vied two wide around the bend, under pressure faded through the lane. EL LUCERITO lacked speed out of the chute, pressed four deep into the turn, weakened stretch.
