Chart notes
ZIPPIN SEVENZ angled to the inside entering the first turn, moved up to prompt SMILING LADY for the lead, gained a slight lead nearing the quarter pole, dueled for the lead from that point and was all out to prevail. CHAI saved ground while being reserved off the pace, moved up along the inside nearing the quarter pole, angled out to come three-wide into the stretch and finished strongly. SMILING LADY set the pressured pace racing two-wide, responded when challenged by ZIPPIN SEVENZ nearing the quarter pole and held on gamely to the wire. HALFWAY TO NOWHERE was prominently placed racing three-wide early and weakened. I'M TELLING MOM was four-wide on the first turn then dropped back to be unhurried, came three-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten. CREME DE MENTHE was forwardly placed early racing four-wide, angled in to e two-wide nearing the half mile pole, was four-wide entering the stretch and tired during the drive. ANNIE FOX saved ground racing in the back of the field and was not a factor.
