AIR OF DEFIANCE pressed two wide, bid along with an outer counterpart turning for home, wrestled a narrow advantage at the quarter pole then held sway from his aforementioned foe through the final furlong. KING PEANUT stalked outside of the top pair, bid three deep at the five sixteenths pole, vied into the lane but was fended off by an inner counterpart through the final furlong. INTERLOCK EMPIRE showed the way as the eventual winner pressed down the backstretch, got headed by that one and a wider bidder reaching the quarter pole, fought on through upper stretch, but faded through the final furlong yet lasted for show. SOUND OF VICTORY raced at the rea in the four to three path into the turn, shifted back out to the four path while improving into the lane and claimed fourth late. OUR DREAM RYE'D laid off of the pace along the inside, shifted to the three path around the far turn, edged fourth from an inner foe entering the lane but was caught by his outer stablemate in the late stages. CASCADE CRUISER tracked near the inside, chased in the two path around the far turn and tired. GIFT CERTIFICATE raced off of the pace four wide, came under urging in the five path around the far turn, but lacked a response and weakened before being eased through the lane. INFINITE LUCK was briefly antsy in the starting gate, raced near the rear two wide and between horses, weakened turning for home, was pulled up leaving the furlong grounds and walked off.
