Chart notes
HAUT LES COEURS stalked the pace down the backstretch, saved ground through the turn, tipped three wide in upper stretch, wore down the pacesetter inside the eighth pole and pulled clear late. ON RESERVE was well placed off the pace in the front stalking pair three wide, drifted out to the five path in the lane and mounted a griding rally to be up for the place. HAZARD PAY set the pace on a clear lead through quick fractions, responded well turning for home to battle in the stretch and weakened in the final sixteenth. MARDENE tracked the leaders to the head of the stretch and failed to mount a closing rally. JASMINES WORLD went evenly failing to pose a threat. AUNT JO was not a factor.
