Chart notes
ARGUMENTAL was well rated on a clear lead early, responded when challenged on the far turn to duel to mid -stretch, briefly lost the lead, came together with the runner-up when that one drifted in leaving the eight pole and re-rallied detrrminedly to kick clear late. BAYTOWN STORM stalked the pace to the final turn, rallied to engage the winner at the five-sixteenths pole, battled with that on down the lane to take a short lead leaving the eighth pole, drifted in coming together with the winner nearing the sixteenth pole and was outkicked late. TWISTED EMPRESS tracked the pacesetter from the inside for the first half, lost position on far turn and finsihed with a mild, non-threatening rally in the lane to be along for the show. NELIDA unhurried to be the trailer, rallied four wide on the far turn with some interest and flattened out turning for home.
