Chart notes
BROCKNARDINI tracked the pace along the inside from near the rear early on, made some progress while on hold, angled out five wide into upper stretch let out for the drive, rallied inside the final furlong to take command seventy yards from the finish, then prevailed going away at the end. SLIGHTLY BUSY broke out a step at the start, attended the leader from the outside in the two path, came under coaxing three furlongs out, spun three then two wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild bid to secure the place honors. BERNT AGAIN coaxed from the gate, settled just off the inside at the tail of the field, tucked inside into the far turn and came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, went seven wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick. RED BURGUNDY brushed the near side stall at the start, showed the way in hand along the inside patiently handled until set down spinning from the two path into upper stretch, edged clear to the eighth pole, dug in under threat and was caught with seventy yards to the finish, then weakened in the late stages and was able to salvage the last major share. SNOWY EVENING settled tracking just off the inside in pursuit from mid pack, came under urging at the five-sixteenths, angled four wide into upper stretch, stayed on one paced to the finish. LATEST EDITION grew a bit rank off heels of the leader early on when under restraint to the midway point on the first turn, tracked along the inside coming under a ride at the five-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong. BOBBY M'S GIRL struck the off side stall at the start, chased just off the inside from near the rear of the field, came under coaxing with seven-sixteenths to go, angled out six wide at the top of the stretch, offered no response.
