Chart notes
SWEET MONTREAL pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the two to three path on the turn, dueled outside of the runner-up in the stretch and prevailed under steady handling. ATENEA went to the front, set the pace under pressure to her outside, vied inside to the two path on the turn, dueled gamely inside of the winner in the stretch, drifted out under a left-handed crop inside the furlong marker, fought on well to the finish and missed while able to get the place. DANCINGWITHDESTINY broke in and was off a bit slow, settled off the pace, saved ground on the turn, pursued the top two under a drive in the stretch and willingly earned the show. ST. BRIGID'S CROSS settled just off the pace on the outside, was asked in the three path on the turn, came out to the five path into upper stretch and lacked the needed kick. LUCIANA'S HONOR dropped back under urging, raced between horses in the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response. I REST MY CASE moved out near the nine-sixteenths pole, was urged along passing the half-mile pole, traveled around the turn in the three path, turned into upper stretch in the six path and failed to rally. PEACE OF GOLD was urged along at the rear, went around the turn in the two path, swung out to the seven path into upper stretch and was no factor. SETTING SUN was rated just off the pace under a tight hold, saved ground on the turn, came out into upper stretch, suffered an injury near the three-sixteenths pole and was pulled up then transported off the course via equine ambulance.
