Chart notes
JET FLIGHT , patiently handled three wide while tracking the leader, moved up and engaged that one from the outside with five sixteenths to go, wrested command into the lane, responded to strong urging and steadily pulled away. ICE AXE stalked inside, checked off heels nearing the quarter pole, regrouped and angled out, finished up gamely through the final furlong and gained the place. FLYING SAMURAI pulled clear early, set the pace in the two path, was joined after six furlongs, dropped closer to the rail battling into the lane, failed to contain the winner soon after, stayed willingly to deep stretch then faded. ALVIN settled in the two path through the backstretch run, angled five wide for the drive but failed to generate a rally. ROCKET HOTSHOT broke a step slow, lost four wide while off the early pace, gained four wide into the far turn, failed to kick on leaving the three eighths and retreated.
