Chart notes
AMY'S STAR prompted the pace two wide past the quarter pole, made the lead, set the balance of the pace and prevailed under mild right handed urging. KETTLE KISS trailed down the backstretch, rallied late four wide and got up for second. THE KID'S PRAYER stalked the pace three wide and finished with good courage. BETTER HALF away alertly, angled in steadily the opening eight of a mile, set the pace along the rail past the quarter pole then was outfinished. MOBIL MEMORY was forced inward and squeezed at the five furlong marker causing her rider to check then went evenly. COMMISSIONER D had good early speed along the inside, was shut off along the rail at the five eighths pole causing his rider to check and dropped out of it on the turn. THE RDER OF MOBIL MEMORY LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF BETTER HALF FOR INTERFERENCE AT THE FIVE EIGHTHS POLE. AFTER REVIEW THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED BETTER HALF AND PLACED HIM FIFTH.
