VIVA LA VINO tracked the dueling leaders into the backstretch while racing two out from the rail, engaged the leaders while mounting a three wide bid entering the final turn, and inched clear in the drive while finishing two out from the rail to prove best. ANNIKA'S SONG away alertly and dueled for the lead from the outside of DONNA WYN entering the first turn, continued to force the issue two wide in the run down the backside, rallied from between rivals entering the final turn, was no match for the winner in the late stages, but closed determinedly three wide in the drive to secure the place. MISS UNION tracked the battling leaders into the backstretch while racing just out from the rail, launched her bid from along the rail entering the final turn, shifted two wide entering the lane, and got up for a share in the final strides. DONNA WYN away well and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of ANNIKA'S SONG in the run down the backstretch and into the final turn, was overtaken midway through the turn, and gave way grudgingly late to just miss the place. MERRY BLUE broke sharply and tracked the leaders into the backstretch while racing in tight quarters from between rivals, commenced her bid two wide entering the final turn, but lacked the needed closing response when called upon.
