Chart notes
CONTACT TRACING was unhurried and raced in the back, swung five wide into the upper stretch and got up in final stages. BEN DIESEL tracked the pace along the inside, lacked racing room near the quarter pole, continued without a clear path into the final furlong, shifted to the rail deep stretch, responded willingly but got denied. CASEYS MEMORY tracked the pace along the outside, hustled along three wide into the upper stretch, sustained bid and edged closer to the wire. MONEY IN MOTION was forwardly placed around the first turn, dueled up the backstretch and around the turn, dug in gamely, shook free approaching the furlong marker, battled on then yielded deep stretch. FIRE BRYAN broke on top and led the way around the first turn, dueled for the lead up the backstretch and around the turn, could not match strides approaching the eighth pole and gave way. LEXINGTON RIVER raced off the pace, saved ground and steadily faded.
