Chart notes
WAVER kept close to PONDICHERRY while traveling well, moved up leaving the three-furlong pole to challenge for the lead, took command at the three-sixteenths pole, and drew away in the stretch under a hand ride. BEACHYA bumped at the start, then was allowed to settle near the rear, then advanced through the turn three or four wide, loomed a big threat in upper stretch but could not match the winner late and had to settle for second best. FIND THE LIGHT ducked out into BEACHYA at the start, then raced in the middle of the pack, never far from the front, started a mild bid on the turn, and was steadily gaining some in the late stages to gain third while never a serious threat to the winner. PASSANDO settled in the middle of the pack, three-wide down the backstretch, was not making much progress through the turn, had some trouble with the lead change in upper stretch then found a good stride in deep stretch and just missed out on a minor award. PONDICHERRY veered out at the start but still made the front and went clear early, maintained the margin through the turn, then gave way to WAVER in upper stretch and tired. DARETOCATCHLOVE was not involved early, raced four wide well off the pace, made a mild middle move on the turn, then drifted about six or seven wide and finished evenly. BOUGIE LIKE raced four or five wide with the second flight, made a four-wide bid late on the turn but faltered before the stretch and had little to offer late. OUR GIRL FLINT lacked any early pace, dropped over to the rail before the turn, but was unable to make any impact in the stretch. WISHFUL WINKER was in a drive from the start, pressed the pace into the turn, then steadily retreated and had nothing left for the stretch run. KNOTTY KITTY raced close up inside to the turn, then struggled to keep pace, dropped far back, was eased in mid-stretch, galloped out to the wire and walked off.
