BROADWAY UNIONS broke out, stalked the top trio from off the rail, came four wide into the lane, challenged into the final furlong and drew away in the final sixteenth. SPIRITIST tracked off the rail then moved inside, angled out on the turn, exited the bend in the five path and rallied for second. SEAGER MAN raced up close on the inside, hugged the rail to the stretch and got up for third. WHATS THE BUZZ bumped leaving the gate, set the pace under pressure from outer rivals to the five-sixteenths pole, cleared outer pair shortly after, challenged by the winner at the eighth pole, yielded midstretch and flattened to fourth. MAJESTIC PALISADES chased between rivals early, four deep at the quarter pole, spun six wide into the lane and finished evenly late. ALAN'S CONQUEST bumped leaving the gate, pressed between rivals to the turn, could not keep up with the leader past the five-sixteenths pole, chased two wide into the lane and faded. TIGER STRENGTH laid off the pace on the inside, went two wide into the lane and lacked the needed response. BOBBED N LURED tracked three deep in the early going, lost ground on the turn, exited the bend in the four path, moved out in the drive and weakened. JAMES J. BRADDOCK coaxed from the gate, chased from off the pace off the rail, moved into the four path entering the turn, angled out to the six path around the bend and failed to threaten. WESTPORT CAPTAIN bumped leaving the gate and dropped back, trailed five wide into the turn, angled down to the two path then came three wide into the lane and passed tired rivals. EXCESSIVE THIEVERY broke out, bumped and bobbled leaving the gate, followed in range four deep, went four to five wide around the bend and came up empty. COACH RANDY B came out at the start, went up to press the pace three deep, failed to keep up midway around the bend and tired.
