Chart notes
LIGHT THE BEAM was reserved off the pace racing three-wide, moved forward nearing the quarter pole, took the lead at the eighth pole and quickly drew clear. SIR LUCAS opened a clear lead shortly after the start, set the pace racing two-wide, responded when challenged by BLUES RAPPER nearing the half mile pole, shook that one off nearing the quarter pole but was unable to resist LIGHT THE BEAM during the drive but held on well for the place. BLUES RAPPER bobbled at the start then was allowed to settle, moved up along the inside to offer a bid to SIR LUCAS nearing the half mile, dropped back slightly nearing the quarter pole, angled out to be three-wide nearing the stretch and finished well in a steady effort. FIRST ENDEAVOR was unhurried early, came three-wide into the stretch but was unable to seriously threaten. INFINITE LOVE saved ground tracking SIR LUCAS early and weakened. MONGOLIAN SPRING was off a step slow then raced in the middle of the field early while two-wide and tired.
