Chart notes
BALMORHEA unhurried in the early going to be the trailer, rallied on the turn closing the gap, angled five wide at the head of the lane and closed fast to collar the leader inside the sixteenth pole and was going away at the wire. MISS MOZETTI stalked the pacesetter to the far turn, assumed command on the bend, opened a clear lead in upper stretch and was outfinished late. RUNAWAY OKIE tracked the leaders down the backstretch, rallied to threaten at the quarter pole, failed to get passed the leader and ran-on willingly through the lane to hold the show. WILD STEEL reserved off the pace early to race near the rear of the field , mounted a bid down the backside to be in contention turning for home and finished evenly unable to sustain the rally. ARSONIST went evenly failing to menace. CHICKS NIGHT OUT was not a factor. FINENESS set a quick pace on a clear lead for a half mile and came up empty.
