Chart notes
GEOMETRY stalked outside a rival and got floated to the three path into the first turn, angled down to the inside around the bend, was ridden along while tipping two wide on the far turn, challenged from outside turning for home, put a head in front in upper stretch, drifted out shortly after under left handed urging, switched to the right hand with a sixteenth left to run and held the runner-up at bay. MYTHICAL REEL (IRE) broke a step slow, moved to the inside quickly at the back, moved into range on the backstretch, continued on the rail to the quarter pole, shifted over to the two path then tipped out into the lane, rallied inside the winner but ran out of ground. CALI CAT dictated the pace along the inside to the quarter pole, confronted by GEOMETRY entering the lane, lost command in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. LYLE THE CROCODILE (IRE) broke a step slow, pursued the leader from the fence then shifted to the two path while starting to pull on the clubhouse turn, rounded the far turn two then three wide, tired and eased in the final furlong and walked off.
