SPICED UP got coaxed from the gate coming inwards and forcing JET SWEEP JOE to steady, chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled seven wide into upper stretch, offered up a good kick to close stoutly on the outside and was up with seventy yards to the finish, then prevailed going away at the end. GOVERNOR SAM coaxed from the start, chased two to three wide from just off the duel, got let out swinging four wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a furlong out, dug in under threat and was caught seventy yards from the finish and forced to settle for the place honors. NO EVIDENCE coaxed from the start, chased along the inside coming under a ride at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild bid. GABALDON coaxed from the gate, dueled three then two wide with ORTLEY AVENUE to his inside, spun three then two wide into upper stretch, seized command near the three-sixteenths, lugged in forcing his main pace rival to pause, got displaced from the front at the eighth pole, then weakened in the late stages. ANCIENT WORLD three wide in pursuit, got coaxed along with five-sixteenths remaining, angled six wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive. ORTLEY AVENUE (IRE) fractious in the gate prior to the start, dueled from the two path with GABALDON to his outside down the backstretch, tucked inside through the turn, continued in the inside route into upper stretch, yielded the front straightened away and then paused as his main pace rival came inwards, then weakened through to the finish.
