HERN stalked the pace in the four path, rallied at the quarter pole but couldn't get past the winner. BEST ACTOR stalked the pace in the two path and rallied belatedly. SWISS SLANG brushed with a rival at the start, raced in the four path and lacked a late bid. MAN IN THE CAN was clear early and gave way near the quarter pole. KING ICE improved position late.
