Chart notes
CALVIN'S RIDE set the pace on a well measured lead. repelled challenger on the far turn, opened a clear lead in upper stretch and finished well to hold sway. RUNNINGFORJOY stalked the pace while saving ground along the rail to the top of the lane, angled out brushing rival in upper stretch and finished willingly to be second best. BARTULIA prompted the pace through the first turn, continued to press while racing six wide down the backside, could not gain on the winner turning for home while still prominent, brushed with the runner-up in upper stretch when that one angled out and he was drifting in and ran-on through the lane lacking a closing bid. ARTEMPUS taken in hand early to be held off the pace into the first turn, tracked the leaders to the far turn, commenced a bid under an early drive leaving the five-sixteenths pole, looked for a clear run turning for home while racing behind rivals, tipped wide briefly, angled back to the inside of rivals inside the eighth pole and finished with interest. IRISH STONE was one-paced never posing a threat. THE TRAINER OF BARTULIA CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH BY THE RUNNER-UP, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS FOUND NO EVIDENCE TO WARRANT A DISQUALIFICATION AND MADE NO CHANGE,
