Chart notes

MAJESTIC TIGER broke slowly then moved up three-wide to be close to the early pace, ramped up the pressure leaving the seven-sixteenths marker, put a head in front at the top of the stretch, and finished up well under strong handling and urging to win clear. WISH FOR PEACE was pushed to get forward position from the break but was not fast enough to contend with the early leaders, moved up late on the backstretch run to press the issue three wide going into the far turn, was put to urging from the quarter pole, produced a steady, grinding finish to gain the place. KBCYA LATER away well, went two-deep through the first turn, was pulling on the rider exiting the turn heading down the backstretch then let loose, gained the lead, went into a drive from the seven-sixteenths marker, engaged with MAJESTIC TIGER from the five-sixteenths but gave way in upper stretch, was outfinished for second but able to hold on to the minor award. CURLINGTON was allowed to settle from the break and not asked for any speed early on, lost contact with the field and dropped far behind through the first half-mile, ran on late and passed a couple of tired rivals and was rapidly gaining on the leaders near the finish. THIRSTY PAPPY tracked mid-pack inside, made a mild bid late on the far turn, loomed in mid-stretch but flattened out in the final furlong. JUMP FOR THE WIN chased the main pack through the early stages, went into a stiff drive on the far turn but did not respond and was not involved in the later stages.
