Chart notes
NAPTOWN tracked in the three path, loomed up to bid midway around the far turn, took command while in the four path at the top of the lane, and kicked clear. HOLD OUT pressed in the three path, led from the two path going into the far turn, got overtaken by an outer foe at the top of the stretch, but held place. QUOKKA bumped with an outer foe at the start, was unhurried in the two path, split foes passing the half, improved under coaxing around the far turn, floated out to the five path in upper stretch, but flattened in the final furlong. LOOK TO THE CROSS bumped with an inner foe at the star, raced off the pace inside, was driven in the two path around the far turn, swung out to the six path entering the stretch, but did not factor. DRILLING FOR GOLD vied for the lead inside but yielded passing the quarter. NORTHERN TICK TOCK rated in the three path but never menaced.
