Chart notes
OCALA ROCKET sent for the early lead, controlled pace to far turn, maintained a clear lead to mid-stretch, felt pressure late from the runner-up and held driving. ALWAYS TRUE took back, tracked from second flight, saved ground to the quarter marker, closed well in the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner late and was second best. WINNING FORTUNE tracked the pace between two to three wide, outkicked in the stretch and won nod for third. KUWAIT TOWERS stalked to backstretch, took back and tracked between foes to the half-mile marker, shuffled nearing the far turn, re-rallied into the lane and just missed third. MY LUCKY ANGEL settled while never far back, chased five then four wide to the far turn, no late bid. PROUD AMERICAN bit keen between foes early, chased four wide to far turn, tired stretch.
