Chart notes
RUSSIAN HAMMER saved ground while being allowed to settle, slipped through during the drive and finished strongly to be up in the final sixteenth. LOOK SHARP vied with TRUMPET GIRL for the lead drifted out slightly nearing the three-sixteenths pole while opening a clear lead but was unable to resist RUSSIAN HAMMER in the last stages in a game effort. ROLLY chased the early pace, angled out to come four-wide into the stretch and closed strongly. SIR MENDEL was reserved off the pace, swung out to be five-wide entering the stretch and rallied late. TRUMPET CALL vied with LOOK SHARP for the early lead from along the outside and weakened during the drive. THE COLORA KID settled in the back of the field early, came three-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten/. PHIL'S ON THE RUN was allowed to settle while racing four-wide on the turn, came five-wide into the stretch and was not a factor. PURECRAZIGROOVE was unhurried, came four-wide into the stretch and failed to menace.
