Chart notes

PAT'S PADDOCK PICK bumped at the start but quickly recovered to take the early lead, held off challengers in the turn to kick clear in the stretch. TIME MACHINE raced behind the pace on the inside, angled out two wide in the stretch, finished evenly. KID'S INHERITANCE bumped at the start, rated behind the pace between foes, dropped back slightly in the turn to take the inside to be up for show. SAINT PIO settled off the pace in the three path, took the outside in stretch to find best stride late. SAINT CHARLES pinched back at the start, raced off the pace, improved position in the stretch. FRANZ trailed for most, began making progress in the final sixteenth for a late rally. HAPPY HOUR BOBBY pressed the pace from the two path, faded in the stretch. LUCKY SMILE bumped at the start, raced behind the pace four wide, retreated at the quarter.
