Chart notes
OBSTREPEROUS went to the front then showed the way with a clear advantage, dictated terms in the two path on the turn, responded well when asked turning into upper stretch, extended the advantage under a strong hand-ride into the final furlong, was given one light pop of a right-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole then placed back under a strong hand-ride to the finish while much the best. FLOWERS FOR ME was hustled from the gate then taken in hand early, raced just off the pace while rated, saved ground on the turn, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, swung out to the three path into upper stretch and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. SOL HOPE was hustled from the gate, tracked the pace on the outside, moved from the two path the three path early on the turn, was given her cue outside the quarter-pole, spun into upper stretch in the four path, dropped back into the final furlong and tired then swapped back to her inside lead inside the sixteenth-pole while just able to get the show. CARA'S TIME broke a bit in the air and was off a half-step behind the rest, settled at the rear, saved ground on the turn, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response. C'EST CHEESE brushed with a rival early, settled on the outside but with cover, was roused in the three path on the turn, moved out under a drive in upper stretch and failed to rally.
