Chart notes
STAR ATTRACTION was well-placed pursuing from outside, went three to four wide on the turn, came out turning for home, bid near the three-eighths drawing even, kept on while drifting out a bit, just got the nod in a blanket finish. PINA COLADA moved clear to set the pace from off the rail in the two to three path, was headed in upper stretch, fought on through the lane but just missed while getting the nod for second. CLASSIC DISCOVERY broke outwardly brushing a rival, moved forward to stalk in behind near but off the rail, waited just momentarily passing the five-sixteenths, was put to urging at the top of the stretch, came out a bit, surged between runners about three wide in deep stretch, missed. ATLANTIC BEACH was lightly brushed at the start, stalked mid-division from between runners two to three wide, came out in the stretch, kept on late, missed. MEILANI bobbled just slightly at the start but recovered well and promptly gained forward position stalking the pacesetter from outside, was close through the turn, bid at the quarter pole putting a short head in front but could not sustain the effort and flattened out. WOLFBERRY tracked from inside, was close up to the lead past the three-eighths, failed to rally. STORM ROYALE lacked early speed racing last but one into the turn, swung eight wide for the drive, was never a threat. MARY GOODNIGHT bore out after the break dropping well back off the leaders, advanced mid-race getting close to the rest of the field but ultimately needed more.
