Chart notes
SAMARITANO unhurried in the early going to be the trailer, remained at the back entering the far turn, circled six wide on the turn to quickly overtake the tiring pacesetters in upper stretch, drew off through the lane and was geared down late as much best. NEW BERN tracked the leaders from afar staying off the hot pace, made a steady rally on the far turn, was no match for the winner but ran-on willingly for the place. CASTAGNO reserved well off the pace near the rear of the filed and made a steady advance coming home. GLIDING AFLEET went evenly failing to menace. SECRETARY OF WAR dueld on the lead while racing three wide setting a fast pace, exchanged the lead several times in an early match race and gave way turning for home. ANCHISES vied on the lead racing seven wide down the backside through fast fractions, battled through the far turn and stopped at the head of the lane. NEW TRACK RECORD.
