Chart notes
PHILIPSBURG (IRE) was away alert, sent along a few strides, then rated back confidently, angled out off the rail through the upper lane and finished well to edge up strong handling. STAR OF KODIAK dropped back early, made a three wide move near the five sixteenths pole to challenge, raced heads apart through upper lane with Alibi Ike and kept on gamely to the wire. ALIBI IKE pressed outside of foes early on, had a narrow lead inside and the quarter pole and weakened a bit the final eighth of a mile. ALTO ROAD raced in tight quarters early to be shuffled back a bit, raced near the inside down the backstretch into the far turn, swung five wide and needed more in the drive. OFF TO THE RACES saved ground into the far turn, waited briefly for racing room nearing the five sixteenths pole and had no late rally. TALLAPOOSA vied two to three wide and stopped.
