Chart notes
TREVAGGIO broke well and made the front without much prompting, pressed MONEYLINE through the first turn, put a head in front shortly after turning down the backstretch, responded when set down with about three furlongs to run, dueled that rival into the stretch, and maintained a slight advantage to the finish under strong handling. MONEYLINE was first into the clubhouse turn, then ceded the lead to TREVAGGIO while pressing the pace to the inside, quickened together with that foe on the far turn, dueled gamely into the stretch, finished well, but had to settle for second. DOWN THE ISLANDS raced mid-pack three wide through the early stages, moved up to be close to the front end late on the backstretch run, continued to advance on the leaders through the far turn, came four-wide into the stretch, and finished up well. WITHERING GAZE settled mid-pack inside, became boxed in on the far turn, tipped out to the two path, and was finishing best but ran out of time. IHAVETOOMUCHAIR tracked close up inside, got a good trip inside through the last turn, finished up well, but could get the job done. SIPPIN SCOTCH got caught four wide into the first turn, raced close up to the far turn, dropped back a bit, and was outkicked in the stretch. QUARTERLY REPORT raced between horses in the trio at the back, tried to rally on the far turn, but was outfinished. HE'S A STRIKER raced just off the top pair three-wide throughout, then tired in the lane. GWYNETH'S MALIBU raced three-wide with the trailing group, then was unable to improve late.
