Chart notes
MY LOVELY LYDIA saved ground setting the pace under pressure from PEARL BLUE and GRACE'S CHOICE and gradually edged clear late. PEARL BLUE prompted the early pace racing two-wide, drifted in and steadied nearing the sixteenth pole and continued on gamely when straightened. FREE TO BE was unhurried early, rallied four-wide into the stretch, angled to the inside nearing the eighth pole and rallied late. DELAYED NOT DENIED was forwardly placed while racing four-wide but lacked a rally when asked. MELIDOUS SONNET settled in the back of the field early, came five-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten. GRACIE'S CHOICE disputed the early pace racing three-wide and tired.
