Chart notes
UNCLE CAT , three to four wide prompting a contested pace, responded to solid asking and forged to command in upper stretch, kicked clear past the sixteenth marker then held firm while kept to task. KBCYA LATER cleared early, dropped in towards the rail and set the pace, handled outer pressure nearing the half, dueled with TOP BLOOD leaving the far turn, maintained a slim lead under a ride into the stretch, failed to deny the winner's outer charge but held well to be clear of the rest. ALEJANDRO broke a step slow, lagged off the pace, circled four wide into the stretch and closed steadily. TOP BLOOD angled out a bit early and moved up to press approaching the second turn, moved to near even terms into the far turn, battled between runners from the three sixteenths to the head of the stretch then faded. MOTIVATING dwelt at the break spotting the field several lengths, was hustled up and gained three wide into the stretch the first time, pursued four wide past the three eighths then came up empty. SMILE MON , towards the inside stalking a contested pace, was pushed along past the three eighths, failed to kick on leaving the three sixteenths and weakened.
