Chart notes
STORMIN DAVE settled off the pace, gained ground on the far turn and from the four path at the top of the stretch drew clear. VICTORY TOWN set the pace, had a clear lead on the far turn but was headed in mid stretch and held place. BOSTON BAY was in touch and a factor on the far turn but was outfinished. BONGINO was in mid pack and had a good position on the far turn but was in tight in deep stretch while all out. RESCUE THAT GIRL was well back, closed the gap on the far turn and passed tired foes through the stretch. BERKUS (FR) was in range and raced evenly on the far turn but had no late kick. SANTIAGO SALSA was unhurried early and hustled along on the far turn but was not a factor. ROOKIE RADAR was off the pace and roused on the far turn but from the four path at the top of the stretch had no response. SHORT STORY LONG was up close early but lost ground on the far turn and dropped back through the stretch. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY AND A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER ON BONGINO AGAINST STORMIN DAVE FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH RESULTED IN STORMIN DAVE BEING DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED FOURTH.
