STORMY LENT hesitated at the start, and broke inwards in the opening strides before rushing up along the rail approaching the first turn to assume a staking trip, launched his bid from along the inside entering the final turn, and closed willingly two wide in the drive to get up for the place in the final strides. DEBRUSK away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, controlled the pace in the run down the backside, repelled a challenge from CHARLIE'S PRIZE approaching the final turn, and quickly sprinted clear through the turn, and widened his advantage in the lane while being kept to task. CHARLIE'S PRIZE tracked the pacesetter into the first turn while racing one out from the rail, forced the issue two wide in the run to the final turn, was unable to match strides with DEBRUSK entering the final turn, and just failed to hold the place. GENIE'S RIDE settled at the back of the field entering the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, was always well back and failed to make a late impact.
