Chart notes
ANTRAX got away well but was outsprinted by a duo early, moved between those foes near the three-eighths, struck the lead at the top of the stretch, moved clear while drifting out in mid-stretch, held. S S QUALITY saved ground on the turn, came out a few paths for the drive, kept on well to secure the place. MAGICALLYMELICIOUS exchanged a bump at the start, lacked early speed despite some encouragement, began to advance on the turn three to four wide, came into upper stretch six deep, lugged in a bit, needed more. SGT. GARCIA stumbled at the start, was outside a foe off the pace, angled five wide at the top of the stretch, failed to menace. THUNDER MURPHY was quick to take the lead, set the pace inside foes but well off the fence, went in the two to three path on the turn, faded in the stretch. THE BIG BEN bumped with a rival at the start but was nevertheless quickly away, chased from outside, began dropping back past the three-eighths, came into upper stretch seven wide and faded. COLLEAGUE broke a step slowly, moved forward and chased from outside racing mostly four to seven deep, dropped back from the three-eighths and faded.
