Chart notes
JIMMY P jumped well on the outside while traveling in the three path, chased under strong urging while moving down to the two path on the final turn, rallied to the lead coming to the eighth-pole, fought outside of the runner-up in the final furlong and prevailed under strong urging. ZARAK THE BRAVE (FR) raced in the three path on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside while jumping well, took the lead at fence eight, was ridden along while dropping to the inside on the final turn, lost the advantage to the winner approaching the furlong marker, fought on well with that foe to the finish but missed while clear for the place. HIDDEN PATH departed the flag-fall about three lengths behind the body of the field, lagged at the rear, struggled over fence six, chased under strong urging on the final turn and finished willingly for the show. ST JAMES THE GREAT settled towards the rear while jumping well, angled out after fence nine, was hard ridden in pursuit of the leader on the final turn and lacked the needed response. WHO'S COUNTING departed the flag-fall in front of the starter and over two lengths in front of the rest, was rated on the inside while jumping well, dropped back after the final fence and came up empty. THE INSIDER (IRE) went to the front, jumped well while showing the way, lost the lead coming to fence eight, steadied when a foe crossed in front on the final turn and tired. GIVEMEFIVE (IRE) was reserved while jumping well, stumbled landing over fence eight, was hard ridden on the final turn and failed to respond. QUICK MASTER refused the start at flag-fall then was retrieved by an outrider and walked off. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE START, NO CHANGE WAS MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH
