Chart notes
JACK FISH raced up close to the outside of the leader, turned the heat up on NAP around the bend, took over in upper stretch and drew away in the furlong grounds. NAP established the front from inside, came under threat from JACK FISH around the bend, lost command in upper stretch, was no match for the winner past the eighth pole and stayed on for a clear second. HIGH KING underwent a shoe repair in the paddock, settled off the pace on the inside, eased over to the two path around the bend, offered a mild response down the lane and was along to earn third. CRIME LORD chased after the top pair outside a rival, remained two wide to the lane and weakened. DANE THE GREAT sat off the pace outside a rival, rounded the bend two then three wide and lacked the needed response. FOREROYAL broke a step slow, raced outside a rival near the back then off the rail, angled to the inside for the turn, tipped out in upper stretch and could not rally. TOM MIX broke a step slow and took some light contact from outer rival at the start, trailed on the inside, angled out in the lane and passed tired rivals. VICTORIA'S ROCKET raced greenly from off the pace on the inside, went two wide into the lane and failed to menace. SIR PERCIVAL shifted in and brushed TOM MIX, angled to the inside chasing the speed, saved ground to the stretch and faded.
